about

I took my first silversmithing class in new york city in 1993. since then, I’ve studied & worked in london, san francisco, san diego, and florence, italy. I now work out of my home studio in pittsburgh, pa- the city of my birth!

early on I became fascinated with the different properties of various metals & their alchemical metamorphoses, leading me on a journey of self-education to an apprenticeship with artist blacksmith angelo garro.

to this day, the primordial transformations of iron & bronze by hammer & fire provide me with constant inspiration whether working in steel, sterling, platinum or gold. my work is an open dialogue between the large scale forging techniques of the blacksmith and the traditional forming methods of the jeweller.
